Target Audience
This course is for programmers who have some experience in writing CA-Easytrieve programs, but wish to consolidate certain areas of the language. The course is designed in a modular format and the options to be covered can be selected prior to the start of the course.
Pre-requisites
The delegate should have experience of writing CA-Easytrieve programs and should be familiar with ISPF and JCL.
Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to fill any gaps in the student’s level of knowledge of the CA-Easytrieve language.
The modules available are shown below. This course will be specifically tailored for use at a site and timings will therefore be dependant on which modules are selected, but as a guide 3 or 4 modules may be covered in a day depending on their complexity.

Course Format
The course uses a combination of lectures and practical exercises to ensure familiarity with the product. Each module will be followed by an exercise, using features introduced during the lecture session. Students will have the opportunity to discuss any particular queries they have concerning CA-Easytrieve will the instructor.
On completion of this course students will be more confident in their use of the language. The comprehensive Student Guide supplied is fully indexed, serving as a useful reference tool long after the course has finished. Delegates will also be able to access a free help-line with technical questions relating to topics covered on the course.
